The Steel Window Company’s Hot rolled steel doors provide slim lined frames which give unrivalled performance, security and service to last generations.
Newly manufactured doors are engineered from hot rolled mild steel sections that can be designed in limitless configurations and incorporate modern weatherseals and double glazed units to acheive themal insulation compliant with Part L 2006.
We offer the same restoration service for Steel Doors as we do for Steel Windows, where the primary objective is to conserve and restore existing deteriorated doors. In addition modern weather seals can be installed to increase insulation against drafts.
Our craftsmen show meticulous attention to detail in ensuring all our new or restored doors deliver and maintain a sense of character to any buildings fenestration.
Door example configurations
Leaded Lights and Lattice windows
We offer a full design and manufacture service for leaded lattice windows alongside our typical designs of Diamonds, Square, Queen Anne and bordering styles.
We offer a full range of modern and historical single glazing and that includes among others Toughened and Annealed Clear Float, Laminated, Horticultural and hand blown or moulded sheet replica cylinder and crown glasses.
Steel doors can take double glazed sealed units of up to a maximum thickness of 22mm, typical specifications of Building Regulations Part L can be met by using a configuration of 4mm clear float – 14 mm argon filled cavity – 4mm low e glass, or thinner units of 16mm are possible using Kypton or Xenon gas.
Complete ranges of door security furniture are available from Bronze and Brass to Satin Chrome or if the requirement is to preserve existing we can restore or replicate any original furniture.
