Our steel windows are elegantly designed, manufactured and engineered to provide unrivalled performance, service and longevity that will grace homes and buildings for generations. Our craftsmen show meticulous attention to detail, ensuring our windows deliver and maintain a sense of character to any building fenestration.
All our windows are manufactured to British Standard BS 6510:2005 and can be glazed either with leaded lights (lattice windows), single glazing or in double glazed units. Our W20 range of windows achieve the statutory requirements of building regulations Part L 2006.
Our Range of Windows...
Flat Iron Casements
Our Flat Iron Windows replicate the original Wrought Iron Windows that were first introduced in the late 1600s with glazing panels with H-Section leaded cames for domestic fenestration. In 1973 the last Wrought Iron Foundry closed making original Wrought Iron Casements no longer available; however it is possible for us to be able to replicate these windows by using flat hot rolled sections.
Hot rolled mild steel W20 sections have been used to manufacture windows and doors for over 50 years, having a proven track record of providing Strength, Security and Durability whilst also providing desirable slim lined frames.
Hot rolled mild steel standard window (SMW or F-series) sections have been used to manufacture windows and doors for over 90 years. Because the SMW section has a thinner front to back profile (25mm) than the W20 section, it is ideal for replacement or for any additional windows in buildings of heritage.
The ‘Classic’ window is particularly suited to applications where authenticity or decorative detail is more important. It is however more time consuming to produce; being a much heavier and more decorative window than the normal ‘W20 type’ windows; but the value is evident in the end product.
A complete range of new window furniture is available from Bronze, Brass to Satin Chrome, or where exisitng furniture is of historic value we can restore and replicate using traditional methods.
Security in Steel
Because of the strength steel provides, Steel windows and doors give maximum security protection against intruders, which can be further enhanced by the fitting of decorative glazing bars which are welded to the perimeter frame and provide additional protection from possible break-ins even if the glazing panels are broken.
Steel Windows are manufactured from 100% recycled steel and have a long life expectancy in excess of 60 years if regularly cleaned and maintained.
